September 2nd....Back to Reality

Postby LilMommax5 » Sun Aug 31, 2008 6:07 pm

Well, we've enjoyed a summer off of school...Well, let me rephrase this. The kids have attended a summer program called Project Focus from 8-12 and another program called Summer Magic from 12-5 for just about the whole summer but the 'official' start of school is September 2nd.

My children are overjoyed to go back, they love the teachers they have gotten this year. The countdown has already begun. I am overjoyed that they are so enthusiastic about restarting the school year but I am dreading every moment of it.

This will be the first time I have all 5 children in school. 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st grade and a preschooler will start. Each one of my children has a different rotation for Computers, PE etc., and it really gets hetic trying to keep everything organized! We send lunches so they have a healthier mean but very time consuming. We also coach their AYSO team (well, three will be on our team this year ) so even after a early morning getting everyone around and to the correct place, even after working all day, we get to go coach AYSO soccer in the evening. Wake up. Repeat cycle. :P

I am thankful though that I have a public school system, I am thankful that because my children are so enthusiatic they will learn more eagerly, I am thankful that I work and I am thankful that I can volunteer my time to help children in the community participate in soccer.

Writing it out makes me feel incrediably blessed. I pray that I can endure the stress it will cause.

Any suggestions on efficient ways to handle the above? Thanks in Advance!
