I was wondering if you loving ladies could please keep our young Cami in your prayers.
Yesterday her step-dad went to jail for 5 months and her mum was flown to hospital with infections (if you haven't kept up with the story, she's dying of cancer and she's deteriorating quite quickly).
Cami's 15 y.old brother is still home on his own, except for a friend who is slightly older. They are off the rails.
Cami is only 17, but was told she needs to move back in to keep her brother in line, make sure theres enough food in the house and generally take care of things.
I see this as a much too heavy burden for her. Welfare still may take control of her younger brother as he's under 18. It seems that Cami's situation gets worse and worse as the weeks go by.
On a positive note she tells me "I used to think when bad stuff happenned it was God's fault, but now I know that He's working them all together for good'. Wow, she really breaks my heart sometimes, knowing she's gone through so much, but she thanks Him.
I've suggested she moves in here so we can support her and keep her in a secure and safe place, then she can still go around the corner to look after her brother as much as she can. We're unsure when her mum is returning home, but when she does, she will get sicker and sicker, so Cami will want to help her as much as she can before she passes away.
Please continue to keep Cami in your prayers and us too as we support these young ones. Thank you so much.
